How to get a Leonia Library Card
How do I get a Leonia Library card?
Any person regardless of age, who resides or owns property in Leonia is eligible to receive an unrestricted Leonia Library Card. Unrestricted cards are Adult, Juvenile, and Young Adult patron codes.
Acceptable proof of Leonia residency include:
Valid NJ Driver’s License
DMV non-driver ID card
Recent utility or property tax bill
Recent lease or rental agreement or an affidavit from a Leonia resident with whom they are residing
Recent first-class mail
Recent credit card bill or bank statement
What does it cost to get a Leonia Library Card?
Nothing! The library card is free, with valid proof of Leonia residency. Each family member should have his/her own library card.
How can my child get a Leonia Library card?
Children and young adults under the age of 18 may be issued a card when accompanied by their parent or guardian who must present valid I.D. (see above). The parent/guardian is responsible for all library materials checked out on the child’s card and for all fines and replacement costs incurred by the child.

Other Music CDs - 2 weeks - .10 per day/5.00 max

Other DVDs - 2 weeks - 1.00 per day/5.00 max

The Leonia Library is a member of the Bergen County Cooperative Library System (BCCLS) which enables residents to have access to materials and resources in 76+ libraries. Your card allows you to borrow in-person from any BCCLS member library, or place requests online for items that will be shipped to the Leonia Library for you to pick up! Online databases offer access to full-text articles and journals.

The library offers passes to the MoMA, the Guggenheim Museums, the Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum, the Frick Collection, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, the Newark Museum, Storm King, and the Mercer Museum & Fonthill Castle. Passes to these museums are free to borrow for one week with your Leonia Library card.
